American Swim Academy, with five indoor swim instruction facilities in Fremont, Newark, Livermore, Dublin, and Walnut Creek, has taught the Bay Area to swim since 1973 and is still owned and operated by the Alberti family. We aim to promote water safety, comfort, and stroke technique for all ages and abilities, beginners through adults, starting at six months old. We offer personalized classes taught by certified instructors on a consistent schedule year-round, seven days a week. Safety is always our first and most important priority.

Our preschool program is taught with engaging games, fun challenges, and safety drills designed to teach young children the skills they need to become safer in and around the water. Progressions at the beginning levels can happen quickly. Consistency and more coordination are key to developing muscle memory to progress through the more advanced Breather levels. Prepare for competitive swimming or just have the peace of mind knowing your child is a competent swimmer. This program teaches all four competitive strokes. Small, personal self-paced classes can help even the most timid adult conquer their fears. It’s never too late to learn. Swimmers who are proficient in all four competitive strokes will benefit from our Stroke Training & Elite Swim Club.
