Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center is the central hub for fitness and recreation at the University of Portland campus. Established in 2016, known affectionately as “The Beau,” this state-of-the-art facility is thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse wellness needs of the Portland Pilots community. With an emphasis on creating a welcoming and airy environment, the center features a variety of amenities including indoor tracks, cardio suites, weight rooms, fitness studios, and outdoor workout spaces. The facility also offers a range of fitness classes, intramural sports, outdoor trips, equipment rentals, and CPR training programs for students, faculty, and staff.
At Beauchamp Recreation & Wellness Center, the focus is on promoting a holistic approach to health and well-being. The facility boasts multiple fitness studios catering to both large and small group classes, a well-equipped cardio loft with over 50 cardio machines, and a comprehensive weight room blending free weights and cable machines. Additionally, the center houses recreational services offices for Outdoor Pursuits, Intramural Sports, Fitness Programs, and Equipment Rental, all aimed at providing a wide array of opportunities for physical activity and personal development. The facility is open to students, faculty, and staff at no charge, with alumni and partners having the option to purchase memberships.
