CERA, the Corporate Employees Recreation Association, was established in Fort Worth, Texas in 1949 with a mission to provide exceptional fitness, recreation, and leisure activities for its members and their families. Originally founded as an organization for employees of Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation, CERA has evolved over the years to offer a diverse range of 16 family-friendly activities held seven days a week. The association has served over a million families and employees, emphasizing the importance of fostering healthy lifestyles through organized recreational programs.
The heart of CERA lies within its 10-acre CERA Recreation Complex, which features a 70,000 square foot Health, Wellness, and Fitness facility equipped with various amenities such as basketball gyms, racquetball courts, and a co-ed fitness facility. CERA’s commitment to continuous improvement is evident through recent renovations that have modernized its facilities, ensuring a top-notch experience for its members.
One of the standout offerings of CERA is the Squaw Creek Golf Course located in Willow Park, boasting an 18-hole course and a clubhouse with picturesque views of the surrounding landscape. The association’s dedication to providing quality recreational experiences is further supported by a volunteer Board of Directors and a full-time staff who work tirelessly to manage and enhance the facilities and programs offered. With a rich history and a focus on promoting a healthy work-life balance, CERA remains a premier destination for corporate employees seeking a vibrant recreational community.
