Duluth Climbing and Fitness Co-op is a member-owned bouldering gym that prioritizes community, member input, and overall fitness. Established in late summer of 2020, the cooperative was founded by a group of passionate climbers in Duluth seeking to enhance their climbing experience. Emphasizing inclusivity, the gym encourages members to actively engage in various aspects of the facility, from route setting to event coordination, fostering a sense of belonging for all who walk through its doors.
The mission of Duluth Climbing and Fitness Co-op is to provide an inclusive indoor climbing space that promotes health, community growth, and skill improvement. Members are not only welcomed to participate in all facets of the gym but are also supported in creating routes, teaching courses, and initiating clubs. With a volunteer-run Board of Directors and a commitment to reinvesting profits back into the gym, the cooperative embodies a collaborative and supportive environment for climbers of all levels.
