The Hesperia Recreation and Park District (HRPD) is a public agency that provides parks and recreation facilities to the residents within its sphere of influence, including the City of Hesperia and portions of the unincorporated area of Oak Hills, Summit Valley, and Phelan. The District, established in 1957, offers a wide range of community activities such as aquatics, camps, dance, music, health and fitness, and sports programs. The District’s Policy Manual of Organization and Operation serves as a comprehensive guide outlining roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes. Recently, the Hesperia Recreation and Park District conducted a Comprehensive Master Plan update, considering public input to determine the current and future level of services for the community. The District hired GreenPlay, LLC, a renowned parks and recreation management consulting firm, to oversee the plan. Through its commitment to transparency and community engagement, the Hesperia Recreation and Park District continues to provide exceptional recreational opportunities and remains a vital part of the social and cultural fabric of Hesperia.
