Detailed Information

FAU Davie Student Wellness Center, established in 1996 on the Davie campus, is a premier fitness facility catering to students, faculty, and staff. The center boasts a clean and comfortable gym equipped with a variety of weight and cardio machines, fitness equipment, lockers, and private showers. Over the years, the center has expanded its offerings to include group fitness classes such as yoga, kickboxing, and weight/cardio training, both in-person and online.

Under the guidance of Assistant Director Jamie Flood, the Wellness Center has adapted to the changing landscape brought on by the pandemic, introducing live online classes featuring cardio sculpt, Pilates, and yoga. The center’s commitment to promoting physical and mental well-being is evident through the testimonials of participants like Dr. Jane Caputi, who credits the online group fitness classes for their positive impact during challenging times. With a focus on community, structured exercise, and skilled instructors, the center provides a supportive environment for individuals of all skill levels.

With a team of dedicated instructors, including certified yoga instructor Chelsea Brand, FAU Davie Student Wellness Center continues to prioritize accessibility and inclusivity in its fitness offerings. Membership at the center is open to FAU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their immediate family members, making it a valuable resource for the campus community. As the center prepares to transition back to more in-person classes this Fall, members can look forward to a range of fitness options designed to enhance both physical fitness and overall well-being.
