The Islands YMCA Gymnastics program is dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and motivating atmosphere for gymnasts of all ages. With a focus on developing body awareness, coordination, confidence, and independence, the program offers a variety of recreational and preschool gymnastics classes for both boys and girls. Classes are designed based on skills defined by USA Gymnastics, ensuring that gymnasts master required skills before advancing to the next level.
In addition to recreational classes, the Islands YMCA Gymnastics program also offers competitive team programs for girls and boys. The girls’ team competes in USAG levels 1-10, participating in competitions at both regional and national levels. The boys’ team competes in USAG levels 4 and up, providing a positive and supportive learning environment for gymnasts to achieve personal challenges and accomplishments. The program focuses on quality training, friendship, dedication, and fun, with certified USAG professional members coaching all team athletes.
As part of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, a 501(C)(3) Non-Profit Organization, the Islands YMCA Gymnastics program embodies the Y’s mission to strengthen the community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
