The Jacobs Fitness Center is the main fitness hub on campus, generously made possible by a donation from William I Jacobs, former Chairman of the American University Board of Trustees. Located on the first floor of the campus, the Fitness Center offers a variety of amenities including a strength area, cardio floor, group exercise studio, and access to recreational sports facilities. With a wide range of equipment such as dumbbells, weight benches, cardio machines, and more, the Fitness Center caters to the fitness needs of students and members.

General locker rooms with showers and changing areas are available for members, along with day-use and overnight locker rentals. The Fitness Center also houses a studio for group exercise classes like Cycle and Yoga, open for drop-in use when classes are not in session. Additionally, sports equipment such as basketballs and volleyballs can be rented by members and students for day-of-use, promoting an active and engaging fitness experience for all.
