Long Lines Climbing is an active lifestyle and climbing brand created by Whitewater in 2022, operating within the classic Art Deco style Sioux City Municipal Auditorium in downtown Sioux City. Originally established in 1950, the complex has evolved over the years to offer a range of recreational facilities, including courts for various sports and a world-class 53’ climbing complex with bouldering features. Whitewater took over operations in June 2022 to enhance the climbing gym experience and introduce new programming, instruction, and events for the community in partnership with Sioux City Parks & Recreation.
Whitewater, with a mission to promote an active lifestyle, aims to break down barriers and inspire individuals to engage in physical activities. Their focus on providing access to top-notch recreational experiences is evident in their management of the U.S. National Whitewater Center, a sprawling 1,300-acre outdoor center near Charlotte, NC. This center offers a diverse range of activities such as whitewater rafting, climbing, mountain biking, and ropes courses, catering to a wide audience seeking adventure and fitness.
In addition to offering recreational experiences, Whitewater extends its reach through various online platforms, delivering inspirational lifestyle content and resources to foster a lasting connection with the outdoors. Through websites, films, articles, and journals, Whitewater ensures that individuals can stay engaged with the benefits of active pursuits, reinforcing their belief in the inherent human inclination towards play and physical activity.
