Detailed Information

The McCoy-Arnold Center, located on the west side of the Briar Cliff campus, is a 13,000 square foot facility completed in 2004. Named after former campus chaplain Father Al McCoy and music professor Sister Mary Arnold Staudt, the center is a vital part of the Briar Cliff community. It houses the Charger weight room, wrestling office, and practice room, providing essential support for student-athletes and fostering a sense of belonging within the Cliff community.

At the McCoy-Arnold Center, the focus is on creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all individuals. As a Catholic, Franciscan learning place, the center values each person’s dignity and celebrates their unique contributions. The center’s philosophy emphasizes the importance of character development alongside academic pursuits, offering a private, liberal arts education that goes beyond shaping resumes to shaping individuals’ characters.

For those interested in joining the team, the McCoy-Arnold Center offers the opportunity to kickstart the athletic recruiting process by completing the prospective student athlete form. By prioritizing the experience and needs of each individual, the center ensures that every member of the Cliff community receives the support and guidance necessary to thrive both academically and athletically.
