Mountain View Volleyball Club is a nonprofit 501c3 organization founded in 2009 by Mike Rubin and Brian Wahl, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. The club offers competitive and developmental programs for girls and boys in both indoor and sand volleyball, aiming to support student-athletes in reaching their highest potential as players, teammates, and leaders on and off the court. With a focus on improving the overall level of volleyball in Northern California, MVVC has become one of the largest boys and girls volleyball clubs in the nation, earning over a dozen awards in national competitions and preparing numerous athletes to play at the collegiate level.
At MVVC, the core philosophies revolve around providing additional places for youth to learn and play volleyball, fostering a competitive and supportive environment, and creating opportunities for physical, emotional, and mental growth. The club’s four-court facility in Sunnyvale, CA, serves as a hub for training and development, where athletes can cultivate lifelong habits of well-being through performance and personal growth. MVVC’s community extends beyond the court, with current players often engaging in youth leagues, performance training, and academic pursuits, while alumni return during the summer months to reconnect, play volleyball, and share their passion for the sport.
With a commitment to developing players for national-level competition, Mountain View Volleyball Club stands as a pillar in the Northern California volleyball scene. The club’s dedication to providing a supportive and competitive environment has not only elevated the level of play in the region but has also nurtured a community where athletes can thrive physically, emotionally, and mentally. Through a combination of structured practice sessions, performance training, and academic support, MVVC continues to shape the next generation of volleyball players and leaders, embodying a spirit of excellence both on and off the court.
