The Peninsula Boxing Academy is a non-profit organization established in 2004, dedicated to providing a positive and structured environment for youths aged 8 to 17 through the art of boxing. Led by Executive Director Otis M. Hooper, a highly experienced instructor with a background in professional boxing and martial arts, the academy offers boxing instruction for all ages and genders. In addition to boxing training, students benefit from academic support including tutoring in math, English, and other subjects, aiming to help them excel academically and become community leaders and role models.

At Peninsula Boxing Academy, dignity and respect are core values that guide the teaching philosophy. The academy emphasizes the importance of discipline, sportsmanship, and motivation, instilling these qualities in students alongside boxing skills. Each student is encouraged to improve their academic performance and maintain or enhance their grade point average while in the program, fostering a holistic approach to personal development. With a focus on individualized instruction and a commitment to excellence, the academy aims to empower students to reach their full potential both in the ring and in their academic pursuits.

Licensed by the U.S. Amateur Boxing Association, Peninsula Boxing Academy is dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive.
