The Bar Method Oakland – Lakeshore is a boutique fitness studio offering barre classes for students of all levels. The signature method uses your own body weight, the ballet barre, and a few props to create a transformative workout that results in long, lean sculpted muscles. Not only does it reshape your entire body, but it allows you to channel your inner strength and leave class feeling strong, confident, and poised. Highly-trained instructors customize the barre exercises to ensure they are safe and effective for any age and every body, including modifications for pregnant women and students with injuries. Our staff and community are here to support you from the moment you walk through the door.
The Bar Method Oakland was opened in May 2013 by studio owners Audrey Mao and Chelsea Glavinovich McClure, and recently transitioned ownership to long-time members Ashlee Holden and Makenna Clements Robery. The studio offers two spacious workout rooms, childcare, and a large locker room. Come experience the amazing things your body can do! Free parking is available in the Trader Joe’s parking lot behind the studio. Street parking (for an additional charge) is also available. Club Bar Unlimited members are allowed to freeze their memberships one time per calendar year. A hold or freeze must be 7 days in duration or longer, and a $20 “freeze fee” will be charged.
Class package sessions must be used within 12 months of purchase. We require a 2-week notice if you need/choose to cancel a recurring membership for any reason. This gives our system time to make this adjustment before your next billing cycle.
