Tidewater Gymnastics Academy is dedicated to empowering youth through sports, offering quality fitness, gymnastics, and tumbling instruction for children of all ages and levels. Located in the heart of Hampton Roads in Norfolk, TGA provides a nurturing environment that encourages each child to reach their full potential as athletes and individuals. The academy is owned by two Norfolk natives who are passionate about gymnastics and have created a positive and enthusiastic team of coaches who serve as role models for the children.
TGA’s services include a variety of classes such as Boys Basic Fitness and Tumbling, with enrollment currently open for TGA Classes and the Happy Hour Camp for ages 4-14. The academy also hosts birthday parties on a limited basis, providing a fun and active way to celebrate special occasions. With a philosophy inspired by Maya Angelou’s quote, “If you are always trying to be normal you will never know how amazing you can be,” TGA encourages children to embrace their uniqueness and strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives.
With over 25 years of experience in gymnastics, TGA’s co-owner Kevin leads the academy with a deep understanding and love for the sport. The academy’s central location near Old Dominion University, Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia Beach, and Chesapeake makes it easily accessible to families in the area.
