Established in 1991, Corpus Christi’s Weapons At Hand has built a strong reputation for nurturing the inner martial artist within individuals. Originally founded as a Kickboxing/Kung-Fu academy by Sifu Stacy Jorgensen, the academy quickly adapted to the rising popularity of Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts, evolving into a comprehensive fight system. With a focus on self-respect and respect for others, Weapons At Hand encourages accountability and integrity among its students, guided by a set of positive core values.
In 2016, Weapons At Hand formed a powerful alliance with Roger Narvaez, a respected Corpus Christi Firefighter, UFC veteran, and Jiu Jitsu blackbelt. This partnership not only enhances the overall quality of instruction but also allows the academy to offer top-notch Jiu Jitsu training. The academy’s teaching system caters to every member of the family, offering a diverse curriculum that encompasses a wide range of martial arts disciplines, providing a comprehensive understanding of the art.
At Weapons At Hand, the state-of-the-art facility features two spacious rooms dedicated to instruction. The main room provides an expansive open mat area for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, kids classes, and dynamic Kickboxing/Boxing drills.
