As part of the nation’s leading nonprofit committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the YMCA engages with over 10,000 neighborhoods across the U.S. The organization’s contributions range from influencing national culture during times of social change to providing individual support to children learning to read.

With three sites including Maple and Portage facilities offering various program and fitness amenities, as well as a Youth Development Program at Lincoln International Studies Elementary School, the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo focuses on nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving community health and well-being, and supporting neighbors. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Y relies on community support through grants and donations to provide financial assistance for individuals who may not otherwise have access to its programs and services.

With a rich history spanning over 160 years, the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo continues to serve individuals and communities by ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected, and secure. Through a dedicated Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers, the Y remains committed to its mission of fostering youth development, promoting healthy living, and encouraging social responsibility in the Greater Kalamazoo area.
