SNHU Athletic Complex, home to the Gymnasium, also known as the “Small Gym,” is a versatile facility catering to a wide range of recreational sports and events. The rubberized floor, updated in 2018, provides a suitable surface for activities like volleyball, dodgeball, basketball, floor hockey, and indoor soccer. Additionally, the Small Gym boasts a full-sized stage that frequently hosts school events such as dinners, concerts, and plays, accommodating up to 300 people comfortably in the bleachers.
Not only does the Small Gym serve as the hub for the SNHU Intramural Program, but it also functions as a practice space for various varsity teams during the winter months. Baseball, softball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s soccer teams utilize this space for training and preparation. The facility’s adaptability and multi-functional nature make it a cornerstone of athletic and extracurricular activities at SNHU.
With a rich history of supporting both recreational and competitive sports, SNHU Athletic Complex embodies a philosophy of inclusivity and excellence. By providing top-notch facilities for a diverse range of activities and events, the Small Gym fosters a sense of community and teamwork among students, athletes, and visitors. Whether hosting intramural games, team practices, or school functions, the Athletic Complex remains a vital and dynamic space within the SNHU campus.
